Artists Carol and Bill Petersen create fused glass art sculptures and functional art pieces. The artists also create specialized glass serving ware; jewelry; ornaments; and whimsical pieces. Each piece is one of a kind and individually hand-crafted and made from different shapes, types, sizes and colors of glass pieces. First, a design is drawn on paper and glass colors are selected. Then the pieces are laid out into the desired design. Once the glass pieces are in the design, it is placed in a kiln where it is fused into a molten state at temperatures reaching 1450 degrees. The piece is then allowed to cool gradually until it hardens and is removed for final prep; polishing and presentation.
